There are few words that don’t sell beer; ‘golden’ is one. ‘Ruby’ is another. Some, however, do – in abundance. ‘Citra’ is one of them, especially when followed up with ‘IPA’. This is a Citra IPA, and if that doesn’t have your collar damp, you’ve been long-dead inside.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear golden yellow with a frothy white cap. The aroma is juicy, tangy, Fanta icey lemon, tangerine, orange gummy candy, mango, sappy and oily. The taste is bitter - sweet, sappy, oily, resinous, pine, pithy, zesty, tangerine, kumquat, twist of lemon, waxy rind, kick of alcohol, peppery spice and some bread in the malt base with a drying, pithy citrus finish. Medium body and fine, prickly. Perhaps not the most refined, but tasty enough. A step up from the Calista batch before it.
