Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a nice lacy head. Nose - light caramel with a hint of lemon. Taste - dried lemon peel, wholemeal biscuit. Palate - light bodied, long and dry throughout the finish. Overall - good example of the style.

Jak na piwo z Anglii to mocna nachmielone cytrusowymi chmielami chyba. Mnostwo grejfrutow w zapachu i smaku. Dominuja na podniebieniu totalnie. Wyglad to mala piana ale jakosciowa, srednio sie utrzymujaca. Kolor pomaranczowy lekko mglisty. Lekkie przyjemne i poterzne chmielne. Malo slodowe. I like That Grapefruit Aroma.

Bottle picked up at the brewery drunk in a field. Mostly clear golden coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is faint citrus, grassy hop, cascade? Grainy and a little. Metallic. Flavour is composed of crisp zippy citrus, light straw, light grains. Palate is light bodied with moderate carbonation and a nice dry finish.

500ml bottle: BBD 31 Oct 2015. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 25 Mar 2015. Copper hue to the golden body, on top a deep foaming head of white bubbles. Hops all the way in this brew, crisp and refreshing, bitter and yet fruity feel to the flavours. Better than I expected to be honest.

Nose is strong butterscotch, slight floral note. Taste is butterscotch, leading to light pine, toffee, slight floral and herbal notes, with a sharp grapefruit bitterness. It’s a decent golden ale, but it does feel like it falls between two stools. It’s not the full on hop hit of a modern IPA, but feels to divorced from a traditional English bitter and never transcends either style.
