Bottle. Dark reddish colour with almost no head. Sweet nutty malty cherry aroma. Sweet malty nutty flavor with lots of cherry. Sweet cherry finish with a bitter aftertaste.

355 ml bottle, bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark. A British spontaneously fermented cherry "lambic", hmm? Pours with a beautiful cherry red colour and a large and lasting pink head. Intense and beguiling aroma of sweet and sour cherries. Tastes like, duh ..., beer with cherry juice added, maybe because that’s what it actually is? Fairly sweet, reminds me of Lindemans Kriek, but also with a distinct cherry sourness. Low bitterness. Once you get used to the thought of beers tasting more or less like (first class) cherry sodas, this one (like most kriek lambics) actually taste GOOD! No, I wouldn’t want every beer to taste like this one. But it is a nice change of pace, and certainly worth a try!

Plum colored body with a small pink head. Aroma is definately cherry with a few light whiffs of malt I was able to detect among the friut. Flavor is tart cherry with some hints of malt.

Bottled. Deep clear red. Sweet cherry aroma. Balsamic sweet cherry flavour with some grape stone bitterness. A hint of fresh acidity, but sweetness takes the upper hand, and disturbs the nice flavours.

A red beer with a huge lasting pink head. The aroma is sweet and totally dominated by ripe cherries. The flavor is sweet and also dominated by cherries but with notes of wood. The end is dry more than sour, so calling it a kriek is a little far out.

Bloody purple-red colour. Has a medicinal character with deep cherries, some sugary sweetness and slight phenols underneath. Sweet fruity flavours, some clean acidic undertones. Reminds me of Lindeman's Kriek, only thicker. Still on the sweeter side of things, though the ingredients don't list sugar (but they do list cherry juice).

Deep red, clear; pink light head, irregular. Hard cherry-sweets nose; background aroma of red fruit. Quite sweet taste, artificial-fruity, but as in the nose, there is a background flavour talking of better and truer things. Lemony finish, or not-quite ripe raspberry. Refreshing, quite good fruity body. Long sourish, nearly tart aftertaste, but the artificial overlying flavour won't get away neither. D*mn. They're close. Just this horrible cherry 'juice' (read: watered concentrate). Why not just real cherries? I'm told the 'lambic' is quite OK. Mind you, a lot of Belgian commercial krieks are much worse.
