Can split at DS, from an online peddler, 29/09/22. Black with a decent tan cap that retains well. Nose carries big coffee notes, sweet malts, charr to balance, chocolate, spice, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises coffee grinds, mellow barrel angle, chocolate, roasted bite, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid kit.

Can shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours black-brown with a frothy, tan head. Moderately sweet, burnt nuts, cocoa, roast, earth, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, more bittersweet cocoa, dark fruits, earth. Rich, tasty. Solid.

440ml can. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, rum. Taste is sweet, chocolatey, loads of coffee, creamy vanilla, rum and oaky barrel notes coming through nicely, more coffee and roast malt bitterness to finish, a touch of booze. Full bodied, thick, smooth. Gorgeous. Best I've had from Black Iris.
