Here's our 2023 Festbier! An elevated Helles lagerbier. Bestmaltz Munich malt brings added bread crust, slightly more hops than usual by way of the Spalter Select variety and to cap it off a nudge upwards of the abv to 5.5%. Truly a special lager to celebrate our migration into autumn.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Wednesday 4th October 2023 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and cooking Lamb Siniya. Pours warm gold with a large white head, quite malty from the off, a little bready, sweetness with a little light caramel but there is a hoppiness, grassy hops and indeed light bitterness that come through. Good.

Delt med Rune. Mørk stråfarget. Nesten klar. Middels høyt tett skum med litt farge. Lett maltaroma. Smaken søt malt. Tørr, gressaktig avslutning. Så vidt litt bitterhet.

440ml can. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of pale malts, bready, grassy/herbal hops. Taste of pale malts, slightly sweet, bready, grassy herbal hops, light bitter finish. Balanced. Really nice.
