This unctuous Oat Cream IPA was created with long-term friends at Basqueland, and starts with a grist of 65:35, between oats and barley, providing a super soft body to boost the flavours of Idaho 7, Moteuka and Citra. We added Idaho 7 to the whirlpool, to elevate tropical aromas of papaya, mango, and pink grapefruit, whilst the dry hop additions of all three turn those flavours up to 11 and add notes of lime, basil and cantaloupe melon. We added in a little lactose, to balance the flavours and bring that soft sweetness of Oat Cream to this beautiful IPA.

440ml can from the Beer Bank, City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky yellow golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is lime and lactose. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, rich, milky, oaty, tart lime, light herbal, sweet lactose palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can courtesy of Baz and Jude, cheers you guys! Consumed at new house Manghlam, Innernzell, Bayerisch Wald Monday 7th August 2023 listening to Tom Robinson standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6Music. We're cooking Conchiglie with Yoghurt, Peas and Chilli. 440ml can. Milkshake yellow with a mid sized white head. Tropical notes, some pineapple and mango, there is also a little citrussy tang. Sweetness shows, oat, creamy and thickness in the mouth. Juicy with some lactose being picked up though not enough to put me off as it often does in beers, however more so in Impy Stouts I guess.

440ml can. Murky yellow, white head. Aroma of mango, papaya, lime. Taste is slightly sweet, very tropical, mango, papaya, zesty lime, lemon, grapefruit, creamy, very low bitterness. Good stuff except for the unnecessary lactose sweetness - though it's not too bad in this one.

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Cloudy golden-yellowish body, spotty lacing from a covering white head. Fresh aromas of citrus and mango. Smooth hop fruity taste, moments of mandarin and grapefruit on a backbone of juicy lactose. Very juicy mouthfeel, creamy. Summer feel. Quite alright. (Tromsø, 22.07.2023)
