Cask gravity at LHG Brewpub Bristol deep russet colour dark brown chestnut colour.somewhere between a black ipa and an American brown. Brown malts. Malty. Some hops. Just not quote my thing. Good though.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 12/02/2026.
Deep mahogany brown topped with a lasting frothy tan head.
Nose is dark malts, roast, charr, dried red berries, pine nip, herb.
Taste comprises cocoa nibs, a good roasted cloak, charr, pine needle, dark malts, dried fruit rinds.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spattered with earthy hop bitterness.
Solid CDA.

Can from Against The Grain. Hazy amber/brown body with a beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, Twiglets and coffee. Flavour of blueberry and plum. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. The colour is more brown than black but this is a tasty beer. I prefer black IPAs with a higher ABV.

Пил версию ту что 8 градусов. На запах очень все поджарено, кофе есть и солод кофейный. Цвет черный очень, пенки почти нету. Вкус напоминает стаут, сленка маслянистое тело даже, очень поджарено все и с большим хмелем. При глотке сухость и горечь. Не мой стиль.

440ml can at indiebeer in London. Pours black with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, ash, citrus. Taste is roasted malt, resin, citrus. Heavy bitter finish. Medium bodied.

440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of pine, resin, roast malt, chocolate, citrus fruits. Taste of roasty and chocolatey malts, grapefruit, pine, resin, caramel, citrus peel, very bitter finish. Medium bodied. A great BIPA and great addition to the Oregon Trail.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aromas of blackberry jam, citrus, cola,touch of coffee. Flavours of licorice toffee, citrus, blackberries. Fruity uber hoppy finish.

Can at home in the garden from the Hive, Crowthorne, 15th April 2023. Pours jet black, big white head. Aroma is chocolate and pine needles, grapefruit and pith with cocoa. Taste is cocoa, pine needles and pith, grapefruit and roasted malts, extremely well balanced, with a hoppy bitter finish. Fantastic BIPA.
