Can. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a nice level of creamy sweetness. Hops bring smooth pine, light but ripe citrus and mellow soft skunk with just a whisper of tropical fruits. Smooth as a babies arse. Bit of a stealth dipa this one. Nothing here grabbed my attention, nothing unusual, nothing notable, nothing new, just a super smooth dipa that was done before I realised it. Sneaky!

Can on, the train from Bingoham to Notts, thanks to Rich, 07/07/23. Murky orange with a good sized lasting off white head. Nose is orange zest, grass, soft malts, melon, papaya. Taste comprises sweet malts, pine resin, mango flesh, grapefruit, papaya. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness. Okay DIPA but not a patch on the last couple I had from Beak, overly sweet and lacking bitterness on this one.

Can at home in the garden, 24th June 24. Pours orange, hazy. Scent is spicy, floral nelson, first taste you know there is nelson there, grapes, vineous, spice, earthy. Quality offering from beak, who’re up there now, as one of the best in the U.K.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Murky golden body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of rose petals, physalis and Turkish delight. Flavour of grapefruit and vine tomato. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This DIPA has a very distinctive ‘rose petal’ aroma; the flavour is less interesting but very nice.
