Can shared in Canary Wharf - big thanks to Dan. Pours oily black with a foamy, brown topping. Big sweet flavour, mellow booze, loads of layered chocolate, vanilla, a little toffee, faint espresso, toasted barrel, chocolate ice cream. Full bodied, gooey and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lightly sticky, mellow bitter earth and baking cocoa, some dark fruit accents, burnt toffee, fudge. Decadent, delicious.

Can split at L6, thanks to Danny, 22/03/23. Pitch black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, nutty, toffee fudge, barrel notes, brown sugar melt. Taste comprises mellow bourbon, chocolate melt, peanut butter, spice, roasted bite, light charr. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid decadent impy stout.

440ml can. Pitch black with a small brown head disappearing instantly. Aroma of chocolate, pecan, maple. Taste is very rich, sweet, maple, chocolate, caramel, pecan somewhat subtle, roast malts, and a nice hit of bourbon with its woody and vanilla notes, warming boozy finish. Full bodied, thick, smooth. The base beer was my stout of the year for 2021 - this is outstanding, just like the original. Better? Maybe... maybe not...

Canary Wharf bottleshare. Thanks to Dan the man for the can. Opaque black brown beer, tint tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Very rich dark malts, smooth, a little dark chocolate. Decent maple, works here, normally pisses me off. A little nuts and fair dose of ripe fruits and vanilla. Finishes semi dry. Tres tasty, tres drinkalble.
