Good Times is a sprightly little beer with big appeal, designed to take beer back to basics. This refreshingly light lager uses corn for a malty sweetness and aroma, pouring clear and bright with minimal bitterness. Simply crack a can and drink in the moment without overthinking it. Enjoy a few cold ones with friends and let the good times roll.

On tap at The Tipsy Anchor, Norwich. Grapefruit & gooseberry jam aromas. Piney citrusy taste, more gooseberry whack of lime. Refreshing stuff.

Breakfast half on keg at D'Oyly's, Weybridge. Slightly hazy pale gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Aroma has a dryness to it. Light citrus. Slightly metallic. Big malts. Flavourwise there an citrus streak with metallic edge. A hint of sweetness and underlying bready malts. Light. Thin to slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Crisp lager. But ultimately just a lager.

Keg at The Gangway, Sheringham. Very pale clear gold; clear fizz. Light grass and hay up front, some sweetcorn comes through, and there's a wisp of lemon and pepper late on. It's all very lightweight, but it's pretty easy drinking and inoffensive. They've managed to recreate the American lager style without it being totally crap, so kudos to them for that. I'm never going to love this style, but this is certainly better than most of its brethren.

Can. Drove Orchards, north Norfolk. Very clear very pale gold. Decent white froth. Light dry grain. Lemon. Mineral. Taste is bittersweet. Crisp and bright mouthfeel. Nicely choppy bitter finish. Swallowed it down.

On tap in the Brewery Market, Twickenham (no mention of Cloudwater) on 13th January 2024. Pale Pilsner, hint of a haze, weak white head. Decent enough, but nothing to make it stand out from the crowd.
