Chug, is an XPA, and as such is, restrained and minimal, but we thought...
What’s better than minimal? Lots more minimalism. Thicker, creamier, with a ludicrous hop dose. An XXXPA. Chug, but less chugable.

Can direct from Mash gang. It pours hazy golden - yellow with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, green, spicy, tropical fruits, mango salsa, apricot, peach, twist of citrus and some floury bread. The taste is clean and mellow initially, plenty of orangey citrus, tangerine, fairly sweet, peach, apricot, mango salsa, touch green, nip of spice and marmalade with a drying finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. I personally prefer regular chug, but this is still nice.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 18A - Adapted: XPA, low alcohol). Can 44 cl - Batch 88 (BBF ??/23 - unreadable). AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with notes of tropical fruit (grapefruit, slight passionfruit), line and pine. medium-low neutral and sweet background. APPEARANCE: light yellow color and slightly hazy. medium-low white head with low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low hop flavour with pine and slight grapefruit notes. low neutral and sweet background. low bitterness with a dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a low alcohol XPA with nice aroma but a bit bland on flavour.

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of fresh citrus, pineapple, peach. Taste is fresh and fruity, citrus, mandarin, peach, pineapple, faint hint of chilli or mild peppery spice. Light-medium body. Outstanding NoLo beer. Tastes much fresher than Chug and the body is indeed (slightly) better, though it is neither thick nor creamy.
