Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop, Hamburg and consumed at home in the company of Jude, Sunday 23rd April 2023. Btw this is my 200th Buxton beer. We're listening to Dexys Midnight Runners - Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, we had Pastitsio and Greek Salad for tea. Pours black with a large tan head. Initial thoughts are that it's a touch lactose heavy and when beers taste like this I get an artificial taste Impression, that said I got over this and enjoyed the beer. Chocolate, nuts and perhaps a little fudge jostle in the mix here, it's far from their best Imperial Stout as it lacks things, such as a more pronounced roastiness, but it's good.

200ml draught at Brygg, shared with Finn. Pitch black body, scattered lacing from a covering, beige head. Nutty chocolate aromas, promising. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla caramel. Velvety sweet malty ending, slightly roasted. Fine depth. Some sipper qualities in this one. (Oslo 28.11.2022).

Appearance is very dark, nearly black, a tiny fizzy beige head which goes quickly. Aroma is lots of chocolate, toffee, caramel shortbread, fudge cake, vanilla, dark malt, cocoa. Taste is rich chocolate, toffee, caramel, sticky fudge, chewy chocolate, brownie, bit of coffee, pecan pie, roast dark malt. Very sweet and pastry-like, well balanced though. Sweet fudgy finish. Bit of booze as it warms.

330ml can. Pours a very dark brown almost black, small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, malts. Taste is rich, very sweet, chocolate, vanilla, dark malts, a little roasty bitterness, gentle warming booze. Thick full body. Very fudge cake tasting indeed, best Buxton I've had in ages.

330 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of sweet chocolate fudge, chocolate ice cream, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on dry powdery chocolate and sweet vanilla. Nice, especially for the ABV.
