For those long winter nights, introducing Oberon Eclipse. To reflect on the change in seasons, Oberon Eclipse is slightly stronger and darker than its namesake. However, it still remains easy-drinking and refreshing. It’s the perfect beer for cozy nights spent in good company.

Oberon Eclipse has a strong wheat backbone, balanced with a little bit of sweetness and richness accompanied by the orange and coriander. It features a slightly bitter, clean finish that is medium bodied and slightly warming.

Slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Wheat, citrus and spice in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of floral wheat, citrus, coriander and malt. The finish is fruity with a spice and wheat aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 oz can from Total Wine - Daytona. Pours a cloudy orange-gold color with a khaki head and great retention. Good lacing. Citrus and wheat aroma, as expected. The flavors are more subtle than I expected. The citrus flavor is mild and fleeting and the wheat base is fairly generic. There's a light caramel note too, with a light booze finish. Okay overall. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

Single can from Binnys. Would have had this at the eclipse viewing party, but I was at Big Muddy instead. Somehow, I thought this would be a Black Ale, but I guess not. Instead, orange color, with plenty of haze from the typical Bell's floaties. Foamy head that fades into a ring of soap suds. Citrus and coriander nose. Interesting citrus taste. I image this as the flavor of an orange that's been in a smoker? Definitely not like a Belgian wit. Some points for being different.
