Bottle (from brewery). Golden colour with a small slightly off-white foamy head. Aromai s grainy, mild diacetyl like tones with some minerals and herbs. Flavour is sweet grains, some mild fruity tones with some diacetyl and mild bready and herbal tones. More like ESL than Bock.

A pale bock beer. Very malty and flowery aroma. Barnyard. Very malty taste, hopbitter and caramel. Not too sweet in spite of its maltiness.

Draught at the brewpub as Hümmer Maibock. Hazy dark orange colour. Small stable frothy head. The flavour is OK sweet, good maltiness with enough bitterness to balance. The bitterness is slightly rough, but OK.

Bottle, kindly sent by pivnizub. Orange amber, fine carbonation, golden cream. Strong butterscotch and toasted bread aroma. Honeyish malt base, pretty obvious diacetyl - too much to ignore, some oxidation, Herbal hop finish. Somewhat bland and sugary. Medium body, weelagered mouthfeel. Sticky aftertaste.

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Fruity, presumably diacetyl, nose with a touch of sweet-malt; golden, mid-sized fluffy head; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, a bit sticky; short bready-bitter finish. Not very convincing, poor by franconian standards........

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and bready malt aroma with a milky touch and shy herbal notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft and well-matured mouthfeel. Bready, cara-malty taste with light herbal hops in the background; sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented finish with a light but balancing herbal hops character. Pleasant.
