Keg at the Monyo Taphouse, Budapest, 09/06/23. Mahogany brown pour topped with a beige cap. Nose is fruit cake mix, toffee, brown sugar dusting, dates. Taste comprises stewed fruits, booze, sugars, fruit loaf, toffee, light spice, figs. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kiss of balanced alcohol. Tidy sipper.

The first of twenty-one beers for our 11th wedding anniversary. Šajla's. Bottle no. 2162, four and half year aged. Hazy, reddish colored. AROMA- brandy, plum, dates, toffee, strawberry, rowanberry. FLAVOR- velvety, lightly sweet, just slightly bitter, warming, dark grapes, strawberry, toffee, brandy. Full bodied. Top Barley Wine

Süßer, etwas alkoholischer Beginn mit Noten von Holz und Pflaumen. Toffee, weiter Pflaumen, nussig, dunkles weiches Malz. Intensiv, trockener Hintergrund, fruchtig, der Alkohol bleibt stark. Cremig, langer Nachhall, gut. 7/13/9/12/12/12

Bottle with my brother and girlfriend. Pours dark brown, basically no head. Aroma is complex, woody, vinous, lots of fig and prune, light booze, lots of caramel. Big body. Smooth. Flavour is malty, sweet, vinous, caramel, oak, vanilla, fig, prune. Very complex barley wine, interesting with a lovely long finish.

Semmi hab, kissé vöröses, barna szín. Édes, karamelles, aszalt gyümölcsös, aszalt barackos illat. Édes, karamelles, aszalt gyümölcsös, juhar szirupos, gabonás, zabos ízek. Testes, alig szénsavas, alig keserű. Nagyon finom, sűrű, szinte harapnivaló desszertsör. Kategóriája mintaszerű képviselője.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy copper, very thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish toffee, subtle dark and red fruit, raisins, yeasty and boozy hints. Taste: Sweetish toffee, fudge, boozy notes, subtle dried dark fruit, raisins, hints of dried stone fruit and nuts. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Quite smooth. Over medium body, bit sirupy, below average carbonation. Nice complexity and very well balanced flavors. Very nice.
