Portside, brewed in conjunction with Australia's Little Creatures, has been inspired by long sunny afternoons overlooking Fremantle Port, out to the Indian Ocean. With bright floral notes and a well-balanced bitterness, this is the perfect social sundowner.

Taste is very weird grainy, cereal, old grains, hay, so much old grainy, hay, stale cereal, cornflakes, very strange affair.

Thanks Tim for sharing the can! Taster showing straw with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows pronounced notes of melon and pine with a light malt note. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Moderately intense notes of melon and pine with strong malt backbone and balanced bitterness on the finish. Drinks closer to an IPA than a pale ale.

500ml can. Poured a slightly hazy golden golour with a lasting frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is grainly malt, light gluey, toffee caramel, light fruit, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, slightly watery, toffee, light woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Aroma of very bitter stone fruits, pine, apricot, tangerine. Taste of strong grainy malt, intense bitter hops, pine, citrus, stone fruits, long bitter finish.

Can from the brewery in Bermondsey and drunk at home. Clear gold colour with a lasting white head. Light hop on the aroma. Then a decent pale ale with a good hoppy finish. Some grass. Some bitterness on the finish. I liked it. Very quaffable. Good citrus fruits.

Can from Tesco, Brooklands. Hazy citrus and floral aroma. Light gold. Bubbly. Thick frothy head. Mesium bodied. Lots of juicy citrus. Some quinine into the finish. Light. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Crisp and refreshing. I like.
