Lager, lager, lager! It was hit on the taps at the Peckham shop during the summer of '22 and now it's in cans. German malts, U.K hops, lager yeast. 8 weeks. Simple but delicious.

Also re-badged as Boxcar Lager for the Roundhouse in Camden.

Half-pint, draught, shared with Finn at Boxcar Brewery and Taproom. Pours a white tophead, clear warm golden body, spotty lacing down the glassware. Aromas of grain and herbal hops. Dough fruity flavours, moments of grain malts and noble hops. Grass-citric endnotes. Fair enough. (Bethnal Green 09.02.2023).

Fra fat på The Hop Locker 3 ved Festival Hall, med Egil: lett uklar lys gylden med fint skum som varer. Lys, lett syrlig og helt god forfriskning i sommervarmen her ved Themsen. Crisp.

From tap at Hop Locker 3, London, with JMD 04.08.22. Cloudy straw colour. Dense and persistent white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of pilsner malt, more biscuity malt, grains, meadows and fresh grass. Decent bitterness.

On tap at Roundhouse, during Desertfest. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, toast, veggies, sweet, a bit funky, smells off. Flavour is a bit sour, grainy, light funky, toast, hint of caramel, bitter finish, wort. Light bodied. Crap. Could be the same as the house lager made for Underworld or World’s End in Camden, by Shepherd Neame.
