Cleaning out the cellar. 750ml. Like with previous years, it's a great value for a beer from a great brewery. Cola color, medium, gray-brown head. Light spice, plum. Pleasant pine, dried fruits.

Cork and caged 750ml bottle all to myself on Valentines Day 2022, the wife was drinking wine and didn't fancy any beer; lucky me! Darkest deep brown body, decent beige topping. Spicy little number with plenty going on in both the nose and taste. The 'On Lees' gives the beer a funky, mini-sour yeasty feel although the malts don't allow the beer to become over sour or bitter (although if aged I should imagine the beer will become more sour in nature. Nice and different, liked it.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Medium-dark brown with full beige head. Typical unibroue yeast profile, lots of winter spices - clove, nutmeg. Fine.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium beige head. Nose brings out that signature Unibroue yeast, with holiday spaces—think nutmeg and clove—along with a touch of candi sugar. Flavour is much the same, with burnt dry sugar, lots of clove, a little nutmeg, and Belgian yeast. High carbonation, with relatively low residual sweetness and a nice spiciness. It's the usual high quality Unibroue holiday ale, at a bargain price point. It's very good, but perhaps shy of their highest quality brews.

Dark brown. Medium head, but weak. Quite spicy, coriander and more. Like mace, ginger, those sorts of things, along with the classic Unibroue yeast signature. Medium body. Quite fruity, decent malt. And a fair bit of that spice coming through. Decent.

750 ml corked and caged bottle from Trader Joe’s in Princeton, NJ. Nearly opaque dark brown color. Creamy tan head is immense at first, but settles to a small thin cap. Spicy roasted malt aroma hints at dark dried fruits. Flavor follows nose. Dark dried fruit. Think black currants, dark cherries, prunes and sultanas. Spices are subtle, but present. A bit of clove, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon, perhaps. Maybe some treacle as well. Rich and complex, yet very approachable. Sticky mouthfeel. Tobacco and port wine on the backend. Well made and a great value at $6.00 for a 750ml bottle.

750 c&c from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours very dark brown with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma of roasty malt, grass/spice. Approaching full bodied. Flavor matches the aroma; the spice may have some ginger. Tastes very good. Unibroue scores again.
