Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Brownish gold and clear with a smattering of off-white head. Caramel notes, tangerine peel, a bit of sweet spice and Orchard fruits. Sweetish taste, brready with a touch of marmalade, turning to a good sized bitterness nearer the finish. Full body for the ABV with very soft carbonation. A nice little pale.

Third of a gravity dispensed pint at the Kidderminster Beer Festival on 6th November 2021. Slight haze to the golden pour, small white head. Fruity nose and taste, Apricots maybe? Some malty sweetness in there too.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a golden orange with a small off-white head and good lacing. Has a vaguely malty aroma, and sweet malts are what hits the taste buds first. But there’s also grains, lucozade, chewy apricot and hints of toffee and nuts. Finish is quite bitter. This is OK, but nothing to write home about. PS my third BOA beer and no-one else has yet rated any !
