A rich Imperial Stout, brewed to be gluten reduced for those who still like to live on the edge.
Taste: Sweet cedar wood and toasted bread jumps out first, with a decadent dose of rich dark chocolate coated in treacle. Floral manuka honey is then joined by elegant pecan and a touch of bitterness to balance before rounding out with an assertive malty backbone.

Black with quick fading head. Nice roasted malts in the aroma and flavour. Elements of sweet forest fruits in the aftertaste. Good but lacking in punch for a strong stout.

Bottle. Black body under a small beige head. Aroma of dark malt and chocolate. Taste is sweet, mild roasted dark malt, dark chocolate and balanced bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent imp. stout but not very exciting, pretty straight forward. Not among the best beers from this fine brewery.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head that fizzes away quickly. Palate is light and pretty crisp, doesn't feel right for the style. The dark malts do deliver decent flavour on the terribly wonky palate. Slightly fruity and tangy dark chocolate. Coffee. Sweeter fruits with mellow cappuccino and some ripe tangy dark fruits. Taste wise this Impy is on the money, palate wise, it feels closer to a lager. Tasty but a bit too off centre to be great.

0,33l bottle from Alko. Very dark brown, almost black beer with very small and quickly vanishing head. Aroma has roasted malts and some licorice, coffee & dark chocolate. Flavor has dark roasted malts, coffee, herbs and sweet caramel notes. Medium body, bit lame overall.

Bottle. Almost black in the glass, topped by a small off-white head. Roasted, lightly burnt malt aroma with coffee and licorice. It's full-bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated, lightly warming and with a burnt malts kind of bitterness. Sweet flavor with licorice burnt malts and coffee, but mostly it's roasted malts. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, although not the most complex imp stout I've had. 191025

33 cl bottle @ Utsjoki. Bottled 12.06.2019, BBE 12.06.2021 Aroma has sweet cocoa and salty licorice. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Flavour has salty licorice, some toasted grain and mild herbal notes. Too salty.

Tikkeltje droog, lekker roosterig, aardig wat chocolade. Heeft niet de beste textuur. Mist een klein beetje body/romigheid.

20/6/2020. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Nice looking beer. Aroma of molasses, malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits, toffee, slight coffee, nutty and liquorice notes. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, texture a little slick, average to soft carbonation. A good GF beer.
