Sharp rhubarb tartness mellows into stone-fruit flavours before gentle barnyard funk and a balanced, dry finish. The first release in our new Nàdar series of spontaneously fermented beers finished with a variety of additions showcases the sweet and sour fruit character of Scottish rhubarb in a complex, aged and blended wild ale.

Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers to Fergus. Lightly sweet, subtle acidity, a lit plastic note, lemon, pale wood. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Decent balance to finish, more lemon, soft rhubarb, light plastic. Not bad.

Bottle from Fyne Ales. It pours clear copper - blonde with a dissipating fluffy white head. The aroma is lovely funk, barnyard action, damp hay, oak, gooseberry, white grape, rhubarb, hibiscus, lime rind, pomelo and sherbet. The taste is dry, musty, funky action, wood, barnyard, zingy citrus, lime sherbet, hay, nip of acidity, gooseberry, rhubarb, white grape skin, refreshers, spice and damp grass with a dry, funky finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Really nice combo of funk and fruit. Balanced and quaffable.

Bottle at James's. Pours hazy orange, nose is a hint of rhubarb, citrus, burnt rubber, taste is funky, oak, bitter, a little musty, zesty citrus, not getting much of the rhubarb.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - cloudy yellow. Thin quickly disappearing white head. Nose - lime and something a bit richer that could be rhubarb. Funky edge. Taste - zesty citrus and that thing that could be rhubarb (or plum). Palate - good sharp tartness after a creamy middle. Very persistent. Overall - very nice.
