Can from Home Bargains. Pours a cloudy gold with small consistent white head. Has as a nice fruity hop with grapefruit, pineapple, citrus pith. A decent punchy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, semi-dry. Good.

30/12/2023. Can shared at CLBF. From Home Bargains, Martlesham Heath. Pours clear bright golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, light herb, grass, malt, touch piney. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, watery, quite fizzy. Not great but best of the GC’s tried today.

Can from Home Bargains, Salford. Deeper golden with a small head. Quite a soft textured pale in the palate, but produces a fair fruitiness with minimal bitterness, which is evident in both aroma and taste.

440ml can from Home Bargains, Shrewsbury. Misty golden yellow appearance, good white head. Fruity grapefruit aroma with light sappy orange. Continues to taste with additional pine, pith and an orange boiled sweets finish. Economically made it seems but I can cast my mind back at much worse IPAs than this. Fine overall.

Can from Home Bargains. Pours light hazed gold with a white cap. Aroma: sweet malts, juicy, tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit. Taste: moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter, crisp, pithy, zesty, orange, lime, grapefruit. Medium-ish body with soft carbonation. Not too terrible for a Home Bargains cheapo.

440ml can from Home Bargains, Portishead. Pale gold in colour, with a slight haze and short-lived, white, head. Dryish aroma of tropical fruits and citrus hops. Complicated flavour, with some sharpness, floral notes, lychee, white pepper and pine, leading to a lingering, bitter finish. An impressive bargain beer - well done brewer and commissioner.
