We love the relationship between beer and food, and the creative approach of the finest chefs. We are lucky enough that Osip is our local Michelin Starred restaurant, owned by Merlin Labron-Johnson.
We wanted to create a beer from a chef's perspective, thus incorporated one of his favourite summer ingredients; Hay. Hay is at it's finest in June, and the infusion gives aromatic notes of grass, fresh herbs and cinnamon. The crisp, clean pilsner is a great beer to carry these flavours, for an experience not dissimilar to eating a cinnamon bun.

Bottle split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, thanks to Fergus 20/09/24. Almost clear golden topped with an off white head that thins to a swirl. Nose is lemon rind, hedgerow, grass, perfume, hay bale. Taste comprises pale malts, herbal bite, floral, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay if a little sweet and overly floral.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to Fergus. A light haze on this paleish yellow gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy and semi dry palate, a decent minerally crispness. Soft pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Floral hay flavours, with mild pine and even milder citrus. Light and semi dry finish. Different! Not sure this is something I would want a pint of but it is something a bit out of left field.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light hay and spice. Taste is classic Pilsner, hay and light spice again. Clean finish.

21st November 2022; Monthly Shrewsbury Beer Share, five guys and loads of beer. Thanks minuteman for the 330ml bottle of this. White head on a golden misty body, all a bit Cinnamon like in aroma and taste, very unusual for a Pilsner.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 22. Misty yellow, large white head. Really didn't expect such a strong cinnamon flavour from the hay, quite nice but unexpected. Seems to dominate over any grassy, herbal or indeed 'hay' like elements. Different, and works nicely with a crisp, refreshing feel.
