Our very special dark ale dedicated to the original brewer and his book Scruffy Jon’s Encyclopaedia of Pub Life by Jonathan M. Morris. A very rich coffee and chocolate taste and aroma with a delicious fruity finish.

500ml bottle in Anthony's of Wellington on 12th November 2022. Dark ruby body, no real head to talk of. Malty nose with some dark fruity esters, taste also malty and again with a dark fruit traces. OK, but it just lacked a bit of depth body and flavour wise.

Cask @ The Armoury, Shrewsbury. Pours dark ruby, nice white collar atop. Aroma of light fruity hints, woody malt. Taste continues with nice fruity shades accompanying an old-style porter character. Quite light overall.
