[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale straw coloured pour with a tight white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus taste; and a bitter grapefruit finish. A refreshing summer ale.

Hand-pulled half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates during a beer festival on 30th April 2022. Light golden body, white head. Tropical/citrus front to both the nose and taste, grapefruit being the main player for me.

PET bottle at home, picked up from the brewery ... 1 hour fresh, 29/04/22. Clear golden with a decent just off white head. Nose is light caramel, orange peel, grass, faintest nip of pine, soft malts. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, melon, pale malts, light pine, trace of stoned fruits, citric tinged straw, light biscuit malt notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Tidy cask pale.
