Shrewsbury Monthly Beer Share; Chez Sophie, 11th April 2022. Five guys all passionate about beer bringing their thoughts and offerings to split between us. Mark brought in a 25cl bottle of this (BB February 2002), we love a cobweb or two sometimes. This wasn't one of those times! Brown bodied, week off-white head and a smell of sherry that had turned, taste also cheap sherry like with a dusty cobweb feel. Scored objectively, honest.

25cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April 22. Many thanks Mark for this dusty relic, best before 2002. Deep mahogany pour, small off-white head. Tastes like it was brewed in 1664. Sherry, cobwebs and dust coming through. Rated kindly.

Nice amber color, clean. Simple aroma (malt, carbonic gas, caramel). Medium bodied, some caramel, very light roasted malt touch, sweet; not enough hopped.
