Farsons Green Hop IPA is hopped using a special blend of five different hop varieties which together give this beer its characteristic and unique hoppy flavour profile. The beer is hopped twice during the 4-5 week-long brewing process, first in the Brewhouse and later in the Fermentation tank during the maturation stage where carefully selected special aroma hops are added to give this beer its distinct flavour and aroma.
In the brewing industry this late hop addition process is referred to “Dry Hopping”. The overall result is an innovative combination of the hoppy basic notes with exclusively fruity characteristics which complement a very pleasant malt character with hints of biscuit flavour in the after taste.
This modern IPA has a complex, creamy, and refined taste profile – another Farsons Classic in the making.

Bottle, Pama Supermarket, Malta. Clear orange golden, solid white head, lasting. Very faint grassy nose, not much else. Medium bitterness, mostly grassy. Medium aftertaste. Lighter body. Nothing special. Drinkable

Il naso riconosce indizi di fruttato. La finezza olfattiva è normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido appare limpido. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è normale e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al palato arrivano note di miele, frutta secca e agrumi.

Golden with a white head. Very faint hop profile with cereal grain and a bit of sweetness. Really bland.

Appearance - golden amber with a thin white head.
Nose - toffee and light hemp note o opening.
Taste - burnt toffee, earthy and sweet spice note.
Palate - light bodied, sweet middle and dry finish.
Overall - OK.

Delikatnie tropikalne, ale głównie lodygowo - ziemiste z zaznaczonym mocno karmelem. Barwa złota, przejrzyste, piana redukuje się do niskiej, znikomy lacing. Goryczka zaznaczona, ziołowo-łodygowo-ziemista. Jak dla mnie bardzo mocny oldschool w wykonaniu brytyjskiej IPA, trochę za słodkie.

Mein letztes Farsons aus dem maltesischen Geschäft aus der Wiener Josefstadt, von dem ich gar nicht mehr wusste, dass ich es habe. Es tituliert sich offiziell als Malty IPA, aber die Malzsüße passt absolut nicht mit dem hopfigen IPA-Charakter zusammen. So sticht sich der Malzzucker schon im Einstieg mit dem hopfigen Körper. Im Abgang bleibt nur ein unangenehm pickig-bissiger Geschmack. Vielleicht soll das so sein, aber geschmeckt hat es mir absolut nicht.

33 cl bottle at Hard Rock Café Malta. A slightly cloudy pale orange pour with a fully lacing, off-white, long-lasting head. Aroma is mild cardboard, sawdust, sweat, bird food, funk. Lucky us it's really mild! Not too dry, much to my surprise. Medium body, sticky mouthfeel. Bitterish finish that bring some funky odors back. A bad one.
