Barrel-Aged Baltic Porter
We lagered VIM in stainless for two months before racking into Woodford Rye barrels that rested in cold storage for the next nine months. They were then pulled and laid amongst the rest of our barrel program for another nine months. Ballooning chocolate plays a dominant role in the flavor, while whiskey, marshmallow fluff and spice command the aromatic bang. The travel path and residency has leveled this beer into a super wide stance.

Tap at MBCC 2019. Pours dark brown towards black, with a tan cap. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, sweetness, barrel hints, subtle spice. The taste follows. Moderate sweet, dark fruits, quite boozy, and a roasted & earthy bitterness. Medium to full body with low carbonation.
