Handpull cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. Brownish gold, clear with a small off-white head. Grainy and slightly metallic aroma, with notes of toffee and persimmon. Taste is sweet, although not overly so; big notes of toffee offset by a slightly spicy character. Bitter orange comes in for the finish. Light body, soft carbonation. It's okay, not particularly exciting but certainly competent.

Cask at the Mouse Trap Inn, Bourton On The Water, 14/03/29. Clear copper pour with a well presented off white head that retains well. Nose is toffee, dried fruits, digestive biscuit crumbs, brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises fruit slice, toffee, biscuit malts, dates, light brown sugar cube, raisins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced bitter edge. Solid bitter and once again at the Mousetrap in great nick !
