Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: red/amber color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: clean caramel/toffee malts up front with some floral hops then a light scent of coriander under that seemed to arise were a bed of fresh piney hoppiness
Flavor: wraps the prior noted aromas together in a fine floral to malty sort of sweet way then flanked by the spicy tone; finishes piney and floral with a little bit of malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also a light piney to coriander-ish peck of harshness on the tongue
Overall: I don't see this as a true Belgian IPA, I believe this is an American red ale with coriander in it. Because I looked at this beer as an American red, I think this is good as that and I would return to this.

Very deep amber coloured body with a light brown, bronze and copper glow, all perfectly clear with a nice three to four centimetre tall light brown and rich tan microfoamed head. Aroma of toffee, caramelised sugars, light earth and nuts, a kick of honey and toasted grain and showing some slight alcohol in the nose, too. Medium-bodied; Fairly crisp, grassy and herbal flavours dominate up front wiht a pretty big nutty, grainy and especially rustic pungency right behind, and a little hop bitterness soon afterwards, but ending without too much complexity or depth. Aftertaste shows more of the malts and grainy notes than the hop elements, making this seem almost as a hoppy brown ale or even like a Vienna (not much complexity from the yeast strain is noticeable) somehow! Overall, a decent beer fro sure, but not good from such a reputable brewery like Allgash, or what I expected at least, as this isn't an IPA at all to me, nor 'Belgian-inspired' or showing any coriander seed. Nice to try once, as I love Allagash, but not this beer, sadly - this one is passable for sure! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Richmond (Short Pump), Virginia on 23-July-2022 for US$2,33 (part of a mixed six pack), packaged on 10-March-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 20-August-2022.

16oz can at my daughters on Laguna Hills on 21st July 2023. Bought at Texas Wines, Carlsbad. Clean amber body, decent white crown. Piney hop nose with a citrus overtone, taste also piney hops and again with a dollop of citrus fruit. Semi-bitter, semi-sweet, enjoyed it.

$3.35 pint can WW. Hazy burnt orange with a soft beige head. Caramel, pine, orange peel; looks and smells like a red ipa. Caramel, orange peel, pine, roasted malt, honeysuckle. Interesting, good, not great.

Allagash finally bows to pressure and makes an IPA. I was kind of excited to see what it might be like. Unfortunately it just kind of confirms that they should probably stick to their brand of expertise. Dark amber pour with good head and lacing. Lots of malt, some pine. Not a ton of hops here. Bitter end. Can.

Pours ruby-tinged mahogany into a shaker. Off-white micro head with excellent head conglomerates as it recedes leaving sheet lacing. Pine and citrus aromas. Soft with banana and pine upfront turning to earthy pith in the medium length finish.

16 ounce can. Allagash beer rating number 25. Amber red pour. Large rocky tan head. Earthy, toasted malt aroma. Malty, bready flavor upfront. Notes of grapefruit peel, orange and pine. A hint of red fruit as well. Some stickiness on the palate. Nicely complex. Some herbal and earthy notes on the backend.

Canned 3/3/22, drunk 3/20/22. Clear, rufous-amber with a solid, off-white head showing good retention. Nose is a lovely mix of pepper, floral and other various spicy hops with just a touch of melon, citrus and pine. The grains are rustic and lovely, not being overdone on the caramel/crystal malt side of things. Soft, fruity yeast supports things and is actually noticed through the hops. No hop twang, alcohol or flaw. In the mouth it's soft, malty, lightly-to-moderately sweet, balanced by fruity, floral and spicy hops. Malts don't get overbearing and there's plentiful fruit and soft, fruity yeast. Really a delight that someone would make an IPA this approachable and successful that isn't an NEIPA. Bravo, Allagash.
