An elegant, malty German amber lager with a clean, rich, toasty and bready malt flavour, restrained bitterness, and a dry finish that encourages another drink. The overall malt impression is soft, elegant, and complex, with a rich aftertaste that is neither cloying nor heavy.

Cloudy light amber with small white top, nice retention and lacing. Bread crust aroma with light caramel, malt loaf and hay. Taste is malty with brown bread, toast and caramel notes there but also some currants, citrus zest and a light herbal hint in the finish. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness, fine carbonation. Unexpected but this one is the best Beer52 commissioned offering I've tried. Very tasty and a good level of complexity for the style.

Can from Beer52. It pours lightly hazy orangey - blonde with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is hearty maltage, bready malts, biscuit, orange drizzle cake, touch of cereal and cracker. The taste is firmly dry, toasty grain, bitter - sweet, cereal, nuttiness, oatcakes, earthy, tannin, wood, grass and just a touch of marmalade in the backdrop with a drying, toasty finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Decent marzen style ale.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A golden amber pour with a thick white head; malty aroma with a hint of red fruit; caramel malt body; and a biscuity finish. A satisfying Marzen.
