Well its unique. I prefer dwyerpg's comment - so this exists. And yea it is both OK and terrible at the same time. So its a weird combo of sweet, sour, and salty, all together. The sweet is the tamarind and a lot of other vague tropical fruits. No idea where all the sour comes from, I maybe get a hint of lime in the nose, so there could be a good bit of citrus in this - but I've never had chamoy before, and reading up on it says that chamoy tastes sweet sour and salty. The salt is there. I like a good chelada. I don't know that this is a good chelada. Looks pretty awful in the glass. Brownish red-orange, full of particulates. Small head faded into nothing fast. It's a no for me. Can from a Racetrac in Oviedo FL

Orange, apricot, chilis, tamarind, malt and straw aroma. Cloudy dark red/amber with large but short-lasting orange-red head. Moderately sweet graprefruit/apricot, tamarind, chili, malt, lightly sour citric acid, and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body. Not bad at all.

Big ass 25 oz can for 3.5$!! The eye of this stuff is some kindah milkshake weird orangy red stuff, no lie! Nose is odd old wet mowed lawn thang. That odd nose carries over to the first taste. I don't know what tamarind takes like but I think it must taste like chunks of old wet almost rotting green cut grass that's been sitting in the lawn mower overnight. This beer is so uncanny, I can't get a hold of this. In the middle I think I'm starting to get some white pepper and tomato juice, not sure. I have a distaste for that stupid bud chelada and this reminds me of it a little, but this has an interesting attitude about it. They say chamoy is a variety of savory sauces and condiments in Mexican cuisine made from pickled fruit. I'm not sure if I like pickled fruit in my beer, unless that is, it's vlassic sweet hot pickles, hehehehh. Anyway, this is one unearthly brew, I wasn't sure about it when I bought the farm with this and I'm still not sure about the fact that I bought it now. So different. There are a lot of brews out there that I've tasted that claimed to beer beer, and they are listed on this RB site, but fer sher I don't think this is beer. There, you have it. What else can be said? I'll never buy this happy bullshit again.

Monthly Beer Share, Chez Sophie in Shrewsbury; 27th February 2023, five guys who love beer. 24oz can brought back from California to test my friends. Murky dull orange body, no head worthy of the name. Salty, fishy and shitty!

Massive can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Feb 23. Thanks Jeremy for bringing this one. Dull reddish orange appearance with no head at all. Watermelon aroma. Taste brings notes of bloody mary, additional watermelon, pickle brine and scampi fries. Not undrinkable, surprisingly. Perhaps a niche beer speciality in Mexico. Wont search it out again.

Silo. The aromas are beer with hot peppers and tamarind. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, good balance between sweet, tart and some bitter to balance. Add in a little floral and a bit of salt. Different flavor combination that is not too bad. Decent body and finish follows flavors.
