A collab between Øllebrødre and Pleasanti Street.
The idea behind AVERELL CHERRY PIT, came after harvesting the most lovely Stenvsbær cherries at Frederikdal in august 2022. We picked way too many cherries and wanted to use the pits from the cherries that gives you this incredible deep marcipan flavor with a hint of dried redberries. It took more than 7 hours to clean and remove the skin from the cherry pits before we added it to our Baltic Porter that had been aged for 18 months in a Stauning Rye Whisky barrel. We couldn't be more happy about the result that gives you this unique marcipan, nutty and dried redberries along with chocolate, roast and barrel character from the beer.
It’s really something special indeed.

On tap at MBCC 2023, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense cherry pit and gentle wood. Flavour is full of deep cherry pit, wood and booze. Lots of harsh barrel character on the finish. It's alright.

Tap. Deep brown color with beige head. Aroma is sticky rye whisky, nutty (cherry stone), marzipan, quite a different take on a Baltic Porter. Taste is the same, very marzipan, rye, boozy finish. Sticky, low carbonation, but tasty!
