Duality is our already well-known series of wild and sour beers.
The wort for Duality undergoes its first fermentation on wine yeast together with grape juice. After the primary fermentation, the wort is transferred to oak barrels where it undergoes additional fermentation with natural yeasts, of which Brettanomyces is the most common. To each barrel we add fruits and other supplements to obtain various interesting flavours and aromas.
Because of such a creative and inventive approach, Duality is a beer that we try to categorize as a Croatian sour ale, so we hope that Croatia will one day have its own beer style.
To Duality 10: Merlot, we added Merlot grapes that had been macerated for 6 months. This resulted in very pleasant fruit aromas and a mild acidity/sourness.

Hazy red. Pomegrenate, redcurrant, raspberry. Sour pomegrenate pit, passion fruit, redcurrant, vinegar. Long, tart finish of red fruits & grape. Medium body, average carbonation. Elegant.

Deep red color, small white head. smells funky, joghurt, peppery, grapes. full body, soft carbonation. tastes grapes, grassy, lactic, earthy, peppery, leathery, tobacco. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of grapes, grassy and peppery notes. Nice one

Bottled 750ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Marko & hrabren. Unclear pale red coloured, minimal off-white head that went away fast, grapes and mild spices in the nose. Sourish fruity, spicy, winey and discreet sulphury with notes of grape skin. Mild tart finish.

0.75l bottle, with Ogi and Hrabren, at Goblet ZG: Hazy purple-red body, didn't not much of a head. Big red grape aroma, somewhat malty, spicy, sour. Lean, juicy taste, excellent merlot red grape profile, somewhat spicy, somewhat minerally, very well integrated into the rest of the body. So far by far the best of the new ones, really enjoyed it!

0.7 l bottle shared with Marko and Ogi at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Hazy ruby red to purple. Quite intense vinous and funky character, aroma is funky, yeasty, spicy, cherry, red grapes skins, oak, red fruit pulp. Soft and smooth fruity and vinous flavour. Sour berries, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, red grapes, red wine. Moderate sourness. Puckering. Medium to full body. Sophisticated. Lasting finish.

Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2023, Friday. Clear purple red beer with a white lacing. Aroma and Taste of tart red berries grapes, vinegar, easy to drink.

Draught No head, clear, almost brilliant deep red beer. Vinous, red grape, undergrowth, mens' perfume. Red wien, yet pretty 'beerish', malt undertones. Lactic acid gradually dominating, fruitacids. Lipsmacking acidity, dry-out effect, acidthinning and -burn. Severe, if pretty good wine-beer hybrid.
