0.355 l bottle from 'Beer Republic', apparently released in August 2023. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, bourbon, cognac and vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty-bitter, moderately fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, roasted hazelnut, vanilla, dark fruits, bourbon, cognac and a touch of ash, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, gently boozy finish. Full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very complex and intense beer, absolutely next level. Maybe even a little harsh, but with fantastic flavours developing towards the finish. Pretty rewarding and saturating brew, highly delicious.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of caramel, toffee and toasted bread. Lighter notes of burnt sugar and chocolate with hints of roast and nuts. Medium light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Hints of herbal hops.
Pours a dark brown with lighter brown hues on the edges and a medium small, thick, dark tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers on the edges. Faint lacing and fairly long legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of caramel, toffee, toasted bread, and graham crackers. Lighter notes of chocolate, burnt sugar and nuts with hints of roast. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Medium light bourbon notes and hints of oak. Hints of herbal, grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, another nice anniversary ale. Great malt character that works really well with the bourbon barrel notes. Just enough stout notes to move this a bit beyond a Barley/Munich wine. Dangerously easy drinking for the abv.
Smooth, sweetish and malty with some roastiness, licorice, vanilla, cocoa, coffee and chocolate notes, hints of prunes and figs. Quite complex but balanced. Pleasant slow sipper.
