Bag in Box direct from Ross on Wye to my fridge. It pours clear rich golden with no head. The aroma is musty, funky, barnyard, tangy fruits, apple skin, touch of white grape, summer berry, woody, dry oak, leather and some apple pie with custard. The taste is firm, bone dry, bitter, dry oak, tannin, leather, apple skin, zingy, tangy, sherbet, crunchy apple, white grape skin, redcurrant, gooseberry, well hidden alcohol and very dry, tannic finish. Medium body and smooth mouth feel. Strikes a nice balance.
