Draught@TCBW2019. Deep brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some slight syrup and some dried fruity tones. Flavour is rather much following the pattern of the aroma, but also has some wood and mild rye like tones. smooth to drink.

Bottle shared with E. Cola brown with beige head. Raisins, prunes, burnt caramel, cotton candy. Heavily sweet but that burnt caramel not offsets it quite nicely.

355ml bottle at tasting. Poured cola brown in color, not much head. Raisiny, madeira notes. Sweet malty, full bodied. Balanced, fairly complex. Excellent stuff.

Tap at Malto, Riccione, Italy. Pours plum, with no carbonation. Aroma is intensely fruity, with cherries under spirit. Body is thick, sticky, with subtle tickling carbonation. Taste is highly sweet, and also pretty persistent.

2017 bottle shared at the Beau in London tasting, last group tasting for 7 months - who knew, thanks to Tipple 11/03/20. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is dried fruit rinds, light funk, wood must, raisins, spice, damp oak, light pissy knickers. Taste comprises bitter sweet notes, soured fruits, singed brown sugars, toffee, fruit cake, light oxidised nip ... maybe more than you'd expect for a 3 year old high boost number. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a fruit tang and light coat of booze. Not bad.

Bottle picked up directly from the brewery and consumed at camping/parking area, Kelheim, Friday 30th October 2020 listening to Tom Ravenscrofts 2nd show today on 6Music at 9pm after a very nice Salmon, dill pasta bake. Pours extremely dark brown, verging on black with a beige head. The nose is molasses, wafts of some undetermined spirit and wood. Taste is ridiculously sweet, really a little too sweet for me, but it's nice. Really thick mouthfeel, a little oily, dark toasty flavours, sticky prunes, black treacle, a little boozy. It's very good but so, so sweet. I wish that it trade some of the sweetness for additional complexity.
