Didn't even check first, but reddish brown head, something earthy fruity in the taste, oh yes, beetroot. Blends in pretty well actually, fairly smooth for the abv, decent body. Not bad.

Bottle. Black pour, with a pink touch. Aroma of sweet beetroot, chocolate, malt, some coffee, caramel and licorice. Taste has smooth sticky chocolate malt, sweet beet root, booze, raspberry, milk chocolate, some smoke, booze, caramel and a long finish with a nice fruity flavor. Very nice, I love the rich malt flavors and velvety mouthfeel.

Als je niet beter zou weten is dit heel donkere rode wijn. Past perfect bij de naam. Lekker zurig. Prima dik. Fantastische unit met bietjes!

Smell- weak-ish, malty, fruity, bit like juice, but guess it is supposed to be beet. Interesting. Foam- medium-thick to thick, lot or toast, some malt and bunch of bitter notes. Cofee after with lot of roast and bitterness. Head is small, red, brown dark color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, interesting bottle. Color seems black, some weak carbonation exists. From - snifter Taste - malty, some caramel a, then roast and bitterness, then some sugar and beetroot taste. Alcohol as well. Its like sweet-roast-bitter thing. Not great, not terrible. Not as good as in ratings in my opinion.

19 May 2019. At SWAFFF!, Brussels. Cheers Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! Cloudy black, lasting, small, foamy, dark beige & pinkish head (never seen anything like this, maybe an extra point for that). Strong aroma of rum-soaked raisins, coffee liqueur, cream, milk chocolate, praliné, dates, caramel, biscuit, wet earth & beetroot (more intense when warming up). Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, notes of chocolate, cream & dried dark fruits (raisin, dates, sourish brambleberry in the back), toned down a bit by roasted bitter hints of powdery fondant, coffee roast & earth, slightly metallic. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering chocolate, dark fruits, touch vanilla, earthy beet & iron. Nice dash of warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Quite a brew, although I think that the earthiness is exceeded a bit.

Tap at TCBW. Pours dark brown with red head. Aroma and flavor are sweet, beetroot, roast, malt. Overall: fantastic appearance, beer itself is not that interesting.
