Dark blood red colour. Aroma and flavour have an initial roasted bitterness later earthy beetroot sweetness. Very interesting.

Black with a short lived beige head. Aroma of dark malt, caramel, licorice, roast, dark chocolate and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeerrockstars.de', best before June 2022. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, reddish brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, cherry and raspberry. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, mocca, hazelnut, raspberry and cherry, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, gently earthy finish. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Massive, thick Imperial Stout, really top notch, accompanied by lovely fruity notes from the beet root. Was curios how it would taste, really surprised by how fruity it is and how well the flavours match. Very good!

Tap @ Brewdog Tallinn. Pours dark, reddish hue behind this black exterior. Some pink foam. Nice! Nose has deep toffee and chocolate, liquid cocoa. Taste is full of cocoa, nice liquid dark chocolate, red berries and just overall superbly balanced. Dry and slightly burnt aftertaste. Awesome beer, really liking this.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with ruby hue and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, redd-ish, dark brown head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty and earthy, fruity aroma, notes of beetroot, a touch of cherry and red berries, plum and bramble, spicy whiffs of liquorice and marmite. Taste is spicy, roasty dark malty, earthy fruity, notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, beetroot, fruity hints of cherry, red berries, red currrant, raspberry, plum and bramble as well, some fruit acid, a mineral touch. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, soft carbonation. Very interesting composition, surprisingly fruity effects from the beetroot adjunct; quite inventive - really good.

Stark malziger Beginn, vollmundig röstig, minimal herb, viel Schokolade. Trocken, die Malzigkeit steigert sich, der Alkohol wird erkennbar. Langer, cremig malziger Abgang. Gut! 11/12/11/12/12/12
