Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/2028. Lot# 037/23.

Bottle from Geers. Cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of raspberry, prune, blueberry jam, crème de cassis, coffee bean, liqueur-filled pralines, vanilla. Taste has sweet ripe raspberry, prune and strawberry over sourish blueberry in a dark-chocolatey, almondy, fruit cake-like malt body with gentle toasty & roasted coffee edges, giving a pralines impression. Herbal hoppy finish, lingering dried fruits, some wood & vanilla and warming fruit liqueur alcohol. Medium to full body, oily-sticky texture, average carbonation. Very smooth, rich and fruity.

Draft at the Gravity taproom, Budapest. Poured a clear almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is light roasty malt and raspberries. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sour, with a smooth, rich, roasty, liquorice, herbal palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

7/III/24 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: XII/2028, L:037/23 (2024-149)

Clear dark brown to black beer, big solid creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, a bit sugary impression, coffee, more malts, grains, dark chocolate, some caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast, lots of alcohol burning in the throat, a bit funky, very aromatic, floral, bitter, very spicy, sugary, some chocolate. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol, dark chocolate, more alcohol burn, perfumy, floral, sweet, some dried fruits, ginger bread, ok.
