Antheia's Ascent is a DIPA that leans heavily on malted and flaked oats to create a smooth, creamy body to support a massive dry hop Citra and Bru-1 LupoMAX hops, as well as a touch of Citra Spectrum. Antheia's Ascent pours sunflower yellow with a creamy white lacing, and erupts with aromas of strawberry, pine sap, kiwi, and ripe mango. The taste begins with notes of lime and orange sorbet and ends with a gentle bitterness, all wrapped in a soft, velvety mouthfeel.

Taste is grapefruit, citrus, mango, dank. Pale malt. Juicy, mild bitterness. Well balanced. Kinda delicate in a pleasant way. Nice overall.

Reeeaaally wish Belleflower would start dating their cans....pretty ridiculous that they don't. This should be quite fresh and from the cooler at Fort Point Market. Drunk 1/11/23. Heavily hazy, bright peach-maize-golden with a small, but fairly-well-retained, white head. Love the Citra here but that Bru-1 adds a rather punchy/twangy nectarine/pineapple, almost spoiled-like, that I hate. Malts seem supportive with white bread, cracker and such. Clean yeast no alcohol or resin. Better in mouth with less of that overripe pineapple-peach character. Lots of fluffy, soft, almost nutty/creamy oat character to soften everything. Light white bread and honey, almost a vanilla cream sweetness. Juicy orange, light lime and a borderline maraschino cherry character lingering. Very low on the bitterness, though again, I don't know how old this is since they don't date their cans. Some interesting stuff going on, though ultimately too soft/sweet/creamy and the nose is weird. Alcohol emerging in both nose and flavor as it warms/breathes.
