This barrel-aged stout was first aged in bourbon barrels for at least one year, and then finished and blended with mulberries, boysenberries and marionberries. Each addition of berry contributes its own distinct flavor profile, with some adding sweetness and others providing acidity and complexity. A taste of the past, this imperial stout is a balanced and nuanced play on fresh fruit, vanilla, and chocolate.

2023 bottle shared at tasting. Dark brown color, tan head. Aroma definitely has a lot of red fruit / berries. Flavor fortunately has a little less red fruit and in the end I quite like it. Not bad. Far from the best ofc but still alright.

Bottle. A- Berries, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Berries, booze, chocolate, slightly roasty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Lots of berry. I've never been a huge fan of berries in stout, but it's well made. Probably my least favorite BCBS variant I've tasted but a solid beer.
Fruited stout done well! Nice balance of barrel and fruit. Dark fruit, raspberries, bourbon, blended yummy.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is bourbon, berry, wood. Slick body, boysenberry, spice, wood, boozy finish, very good.

Dark brown. It's quite fruity, bullish barrel, raisins and walnuts sort of thing here. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby and brown hue with a small head. A big boozy nose, berries and chocolate. Deep sugary berries, sweet bourbon, ashy, licorice. Tart edges of berries. Damn good.

Rating #15000. Crazy. 50cl bottle was given to me as a gift by my rugby guys and split with the DC tasting group. Says a lot. Wish the beer was better! Pours a thick brown with a ring of beige head. Legs. lots of legs. Nose is mostly booze, some berry, some port. Flavor is grape and barrel and the stout base arrives late. Plenty of port. Hot finish with barrels and grapes.

Bottle from the Packie Inky black in color with a thin short lived off white head. Roasty chocolate roast and syrupy licorice. Non de script fruit and faint alcohol. More berry in the flavor cuts through some of the over the top sweetness.

500ml bottle pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is sweet chocolate roast malts bourbon barrel we all know and some jammy berries. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate berries and a great barrel.

Black with a small tan head that faded quickly. Toasty with cocoa, bourbon, molasses, berries, wood and caramel. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth.
