Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just vague hints of malts and autumn fruits. In the mouth it starts off quite sweet and a slightly watery texture, but with some underlying bitterness which increases till it dominates. Flavour has marmalade, grains and some floral hops. Bitterness lasts into the finish. This is rather bland.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, few white bubbles. Palate is very light with decent fine carbonation. Goon condition. Clean pale malts. Mild floralness. Medium Orange peel bitterness. Traces of lemon and spice. Light dry finish. Good bitter marmalade linger. Solid.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 18/3/2015. Deep gold with a slight, white, head. Heavy, sweet, cereal notes, with a touch of hedgerow fruit and sweetish finish. Not my sort of beer.

Cask @ Ring O’Bells, Halifax. Golden with a thick creamy head. A touch of the floral amongst a light malty ale with a higher than medium bitterness.
