August 2015: 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights. Moderate beige head. Roasty dryish aroma, notes of coffee, hints of liquorice, cocoa and wood. Very dry and roasty flavour, quite bitter, probably more from the roasted barley than the Northern Brewer hops. Notes of coffee and wood, hints of English liquorice and smoke. A bit to mild and anonymous this one. Also a bit fizzy carbonation.
Almost complete black color with a big frothy tan head. A bit mild aroma. Medium body and a little bit high carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry ending. Coffee, roasted and herbal flavor.

Huge fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is dry roasted, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, paper, co2 stinging in the nose, burnt grain, burnt caramel, hints of sour coffee. Taste is sour-ish dry, weeds, burnt grain, minerals, grass, paper, burnt caramel, sour coffee. Medium bitterness, dry mineraly mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Not my cup of tea.

Fra flaske på Mi2, Cardinal aug-15: brunsvart med beige skum. Aroma: røstet bygg, italienskbrent kaffe, litt sjokolade og (pussig nok) noe som minner om makrell i tomat (som jeg er storforbruker av).Tørr og slank, lettdrikkelig, men jeg kunne forsåvidt tenkt meg en litt tydeligere tilstedeværelse av humle. Kan gjerne drikke denne igjen.
