Can 440ml (Vinm, AIH165)
Dark brown colour, steady brownish head and lace. Toasted with some fruity notes in the aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Roasted flavour, a bit ashy even, fruity hops. Lighter than its ABV. OK CDA.

Can. Nice to have a fine black IPA once in a while. IMO an underrated style as it has such fine elements from both tasty dark malt and old school IPA. It has some typical ‘dark malt’ flavors without being particular heavy nor roasted. Hint of chocolate, caramel, bread, dark fruit etc. with a quite sharp bitterness. General fruitiness, pine and a hint of grapefruit. Quite tasty, not super smooth but nice balance makes it a rather food friendly beer. Had this with a lovely plate of root fruit, eggs and bacon – a very god match. Looks amacing in the glass by the way with a big, foamy cafe latte kind of head.

440ml can, #0053(?), from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm beige head resting over a coal black body, rings of lace down the glass. Promising aromas of roasted malts and fruits. Well balanced taste of caramel malts, bread, leafy hops, and pine needles. Malt-fruity finish, with roasted bitterness to it. Fine depth. Tasty and really enjoying on an October eve at home.
