This is a beer that is brewed with local ingredients but is inspired by a favourite Mexican lager. A crisp, easy drinking beer with light notes of toffee, a hint of chocolate and brioche bread. Brewed with wholegrain rice from a local rice producer; Molí de Pals, this was an elaborate brew day but the results are well worth it. As this is unprocessed rice, we have to do the processing ourselves to free up the startches to allow them to be extracted. Without dedicated equipment this is rather tricky but fun nonetheless.
To a base of Vienna malt providing a rich honeyed malt character, we added small amounts of caramelised and roasted malts to provide intriguing caramel and chocolate notes without any harsh roast character

Kolor ciemno brązowy, kasztanowy, rubinowy pod światło. Piana średnio wysoka, średnio trwała, barwy brązowej. Drobne pęcherzyki ładnie oblepiają szklankę, wyraźnie rysując spienione kręgi.
Aromat słodowy, oczywiście słody palone, delikatnie popiołowy. Z upływem czasu pojawiają się ciemne, smażone owoce. Aromat jest przyjemny, zachęca do spróbowania.
Smak delikatnie wytrawny z goryczką o charakterze popiołowym, palonym.
Wysycenie średnie, sprawdza się idealnie. Ciało średnie. Tekstura "okrągła", gładka. Posmak średnio długi, wytrawny, palony, popiołowy.

Can from Erlings Flaskebutik. Clear dark brown with an beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is sweet.

Can from Erlings Flaskebutik. Light hazy dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, heavy caramel and toffee. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. 050924

44cl can, BB 04/2024. Sympa comme style avec un riz local produit pas loin de notre maison en Catalogne.
Couleur cuivre, col fin crémeux blanc-cassé.
Arôme est léger plaisant orienté sur le malté grillé-torréfié presque léger chocolaté oscillant vers le caramel et toffee. L'apport de riz donne une sensation plus crue de grains/céréales.
Palais est léger avec une belle rondeur des céréales, note de grillé venant du malt Vienna qui confère une belle note de torréfié. Le côté du riz donne un caractère rond. Légère en bouche avec un excellent côté grillé qui perdure tout au long.
Sympa, plaisir aussi de voir Garage sortir autre chose que leurs IPA et neipa.
