There are so many myths and tales surrounding Christmas that we feel it would be a good deed to clear up a thing or two. For instance, many people mistakenly claim that the Christmas tree was invented by a plastic company somewhere in South East Asia around 1950. But that's all bollocks. It happened in the 17th century already and the plastic factory wasn't in South East Asia, but in Riga, in the Baltics. Also, we hear tales of big, red and very delicate glass balls being used to decorate the tree, when in fact those are huge, Italian Amarena cherries spiked with vodka and LSD - made to help calm moms and dads with many small kids and get them through the Christmas days...

On tap at Christian Firtal. Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, sweet liquorice and a fruity touch. Sweetish roasted flavour with a nice hint of cherry

Bottle, 0.75l. Aroma of cherry, dark fruit, chocolate, roasted malt and alcohol. Pours almost black color with thick creamy light brown head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet chocolate and slightly tart cherries, following is roasted and woody with dark fruity acidity and coffee, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is mild to medium bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. I feelly silly...

From tap. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, slight cherry note. Mild fruity. Toasted. Slight fruity. Sweet and toasted finish. Lingering fruity far finish.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (29/11/2020) - black with a tan head. Dark sweet and roasted malty with lots of chocolate and some nice cherry notes, cherry skin, some caramel and toffee sweetness, full body, cherry infused lingering dark malty finish. Very nice.
