A big but easy drinking Double IPA. Lots of tropical juiciness from the American hops and real mango & pineapple. The lactose adds a smoothness to be reckoned with! Collab with Barrier Brewing - NY.

Fruity nose, cloudy medium golden colour, good fizzy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, pineapple, mango, vanilla. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, retrained fruitiness, light vanilla, spicy notes. Mild fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, malty notes, light orange pith, still some vanilla, bit paper. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, alcohol well-hidden, easy to drink, nice.

Double New England style IPA by this Swedish craft brewer, from tap at Bar Beenhouwer in Ghent. Eggshell-white, fluffy and creamy, very dense and stable, cobweb-lacing head; hazy apricot blonde robe with pale orangey tinge. Aroma of orange flesh, mango purée, mandarin, yellow kiwi, pineapple, granadilla, dough, meringue, gin. Fruity, sweet onset, mango, orange and ripe peach, pineapple as well as ripe yellow kiwi, softish carb, very fluffy, soft and bit creamy mouthfeel; doughy malt sweet 'soil' deeply penetrated by effects of juicy, tropical hoppiness, fresh orange juice, mango juice, lychee, low in bitterness (almost none actually) with dash of peppery, gin-like alcohol all the way at the back. Almost feels like a screwdriver cocktail, with that alcoholic tail representing the wodka; perfectly executed, sweet, fruit juice-like NEIPA, very easily drinkable (and a bit dangerous at that, perhaps...).

Tap @ Koht. Creamy hazy orange pour, some white foam on the top. Some fruity hops in the nose, not that fresh (but that is a problem for the bar, not the brewery). Tastes fruity and oxidized, not bad but could be more fresh.

Can. Hazy orange - gold beer, small cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally crispness. Airy malts, light creamy sweetness. It's a milkshake DIPA (not a style on Ratebeer despite the recent proliferation) but just a nicely done very light vanilla. Smooth pine with light nibbly hop spice. Smooth tropical fruits. Spicy rich orange, some mild peel. Smooth light finish. Mild spicy linger. Easy going and drinkable.
