330mL bottle at Delirium Cafe, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of whiskey barrels, Belgian yeast, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour is smooth and complex, with plenty of toffee, bready caramel, Belgian yeast, and whiskey barrels. Super smooth on the palate despite the high gravity. Excellent.

Bottle pour at Delerium Cafe. Pours copper with a slight haze and a white head. Light sugars, Belgian yeast, and plenty of whiskey barrels on the nose. Flavour has chewy toffee, raisins, Belgian yeast, and a ton of whiskey character. Very well-integrated and super drinkable.

Fles gedeeld door PatrickdJ. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van whisky, hout en vanille. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en whisky achtig.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Dark amber color, medium to full sized white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, liquor, light yeast, a bit sourish in the aroma with slightly sweetish notes. Hmm not a great combination imo. Not a fan.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is ripe sugary fruit with notes of oak, stewed fruit, apricot, pear, and a hint of whiskey. Fairly sweet flavour with a mild boozy barrel character in the finish. Medium body. Sweet and rather subtle whiskey tones but nice.

I got a 33 cl bottle from bierhandelwillem some time ago and appreciate them for that. Whisky barrel aging usually is a positive for me, just saying. Let us see if that holds up now. I'm using my Delirium snifter this evening, the cap is pulled and I pour. The appearance is a semi-transparent dark gold body finished by a steadily rebuilt skim of completely white foam. I smell yeast esters, grain and yellow fruit of some sort. Oh yeah, it's sort of boozy also. The taste is really pretty fine. White bread, honey, nectarines, malt, yeastiness again, vanilla and whisky. Rather sweet with a bare amount of bitterness. Some depth in the sensation, attributable to the whisky and the high alcohol content I suspect. I stand by my first impression, a pretty good brew.

330 ml bottle. Pours a copper color with light head. Aromas of stoned fruit, fruity esters, and bready malt. Flavors follow same; sweet with lots of bready malts and esters. Good.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Was a clear brown orange colour before some sediment got in. Thin off white head. Some sweetness in mouth. It's not quite a quad. Something like a tripel. Some bitterness on the finish . Some booze presence. Pretty drinkable. Some barrel presence. Quite sweet. Fine.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy amber/orange colour with a medium sized creamy off white head. Aromas of wood, whiskey, vanilla, apricots and sweet plums. Taste has the same notes coming through, wood, whiskey, vanilla with lots of stewed stoney fruit and some warming alcohol. Medium body with average carbonation. Nicely balanced and not too overly sweet as some of these high percentage alcohol beers tend to be. Alcohol well hidden for the 12% strength. Very good enjoyable sipper.
