An evolution of the very first Wadesda, a blend of Jambe-de-Bois and Cantillon lambic, making the Wadesda #9 a Tripel Saison: a stronger version of the original Saisons.
She is amber in colour and has those typical characteristics of Lambic: woody with a strong funky nose of Brettanomyces, with quince and fallen apples. This is followed by white flowers, old kirsch and persimmon, and even a hint of curry leaves. A very winey character, as it should be! All of this blends perfectly with the classic aromas of tripels, like pears and bananas. Her strong alcohol percentage enhances her vinous qualities and gives a certain roundness to a finale that is quite dry and almost mineral.
Intoxicating and complex, but refreshing and drinkable!

Meagre white head over fully hazy orange-yellow beer. Lambic-y nose, half-dry apples, horseradish, horseblanket, meadow herbs & flowers. Bit cidery. Dry-herbal taste. There is lambic, but really subdued. Again dried (sour) apples, cider, chalk. Medium bodied, quite well-carbonated, slick if not oily. Long lasting flavours. Nice! Love to find a mixed beer where the lambic does not dominate the flavourprofile.

Bottle @Beershoppe (Rome). Dorata, mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca medio-leggera. Al naso note vinose, di stalla, citriche, lievito saison, fiori bianchi. In bocca è rotonda, abbastanza complessa, acidità media, vinosa. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Non male.

Bottle. HOTM online. Light haze on an orange gold. Super thick lasting leggy white foam. Easy 5. Nose has white wine barrel. Super clean malts. Spice. Cut grass. Touch of brett. Taste has some grainy sweetness turning dry and tangy vinous and bitter. Drinks well easy with soft rich rolling carbonation. Tart and twangy finish. Class. Needed 750ml attention though.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Caps and Taps. Pours clear honey-gold, lightly effervescent, with a modest, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with moderate salinity, nice pale bread, orange peel, mild citric acidity, a little grapefruit, minima funk, pale oak. Medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Fairly dry to finish, slightly warming, more citric tang, pale bread, salty bite. Great stuff.
